Welcome to the Parish of Sturton Le Steeple. The Parish comprises the villages of Sturton Le Steeple, Littleborough, Fenton and the abandoned village of West Burton. We are situated in the North of the County of Nottinghamshire, England adjacent to the River Trent that defines the County border with Lincolnshire. Close to the towns of Retford and Gainsborough. The villages are just a few minutes drive from the Historic City of Lincoln and the International Robin Hood airport at Finningly, Doncaster. There is easy access to the A1(M) motorway, Retford railway station on the East Coast Mainline being 95 minutes from London and direct links to Doncaster, Sheffield and Lincoln.  The villages’ have a combined population of about 500. At the heart of the Parish is the old Roman Road from Littleborough to Sturton Le Steeple passing the fine Church of St. Peter and St. Paul. This site is owned by the Parish Council, it is run by a team of volunteers from the Parish for the benefit of the community.
