Sturton Bottle Banks

Sturton Bottle Banks / Recycling Bins

The Parish Council has received a number of complaints about the bottle banks being full, and a variety of containers being left at the base of the banks containing bottles and assorted glass-wear (some broken). It has also been reported that some of the empty bottles left around the base of the banks can only be described as ‘trade waste’. A notice of what to do when a bottle bank is full (usually the green one) will shortly be placed on the site. In the meantime would all users please adhere to the following code of practice so that no bottles and other glass containers are left around the base of the bottle banks.

Thank you for your co-operation

Bottle Banks – Code of Practice

If the Green bank is full, the brown bank can be used for green bottles and vice versa.

If any of the bottle banks are nearly full please phone the number on the banks to request that they are emptied.

Please take any containers home with you for disposal in your green or blue bins or to use again.

Please only put clear glass in the ‘white’ bin
