The History and Stories of

North & South Wheatley

This book written by Ann Smith and produced by North and South Wheatley Local and Family History Group was launched in September 2013 and is equally relevant today.

The book entitled History & Stories of North & South Wheatley puts much more text around the distant memories and historical facts that have made the combined villages into what they are today. The contents cover the period from the Romans to the 1800’s and then the 1900’s in 20 year sectors culminating at the Millennium. It is a veritable mine of information.  Whether you are or were a resident of our village, or have an interest in the history of these North Nottinghamshire villages there is bound to be much to interest you within its pages. It is a superb follow up to our earlier publication ‘Photographic Memories’.
