This Post Has 15 Comments Steve 15 May 2020 Reply Car parks at most of the County Council’s country parks and green spaces will reopen from tomorrow (Saturday 16 May) following recent Government advice. This includes Rufford Abbey Country Park, Holme Pierrepont Country Park- home of the National Water Sports Centre, Bestwood Country Park, Cotgrave Country Park and car parks attached to 1,900 hectares of green spaces the Council manages. All other facilities and play areas at the parks will remain closed. The car park at Sherwood Forest currently remains closed whilst plans are put in place for a safe reopening. Residents should check park opening times before they travel. Full details of our parks can be found here http://www.nottinghamshire.gov.uk/culture-leisure/country-parks whilst green space information is available https://www.nottinghamshire.gov.uk/planning-and-environment/countryside-and-green-spaces/green-spaces Steve 12 May 2020 Reply Some waste recycling Centres are opening : For details please visit : https://bit.ly/2WS0nA4 Steve 2 May 2020 Reply Updated FAQ list from the Government: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/coronavirus-outbreak-faqs-what-you-can-and-cant-do/coronavirus-outbreak-faqs-what-you-can-and-cant-do Steve 16 Apr 2020 Reply Better in Bassetlaw Bulletins. http://www.betterinbassetlaw.co.uk/news-resources/bulletins/ Steve 16 Apr 2020 Reply Latest from Notts CC: https://www.nottinghamshire.gov.uk/care/coronavirus?utm_content=&utm_medium=email&utm_name=&utm_source=govdelivery&utm_term= Steve 15 Apr 2020 Reply In response to the coronavirus emergency, the University of Nottingham has organised an Adult Education programme online of over thirty one-hour online sessions on a range of topics, commencing on Tuesday 21 April. Registration is already open for the first three sessions – registration for the remainder will be open after Easter. Please publicise and circulate information about these sessions as widely as possible (e.g. by forwarding this message to your members and networks). Steve 8 Apr 2020 Reply Closure of Crematoria and Cemeteries The Ministry of Justice has confirmed that Section 5 (8) of the Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (England) Regulations 2020 requires those responsible for crematoria to close them except for funerals. This requirement to close would also include a cemetery if the crematorium is situated in the cemetery, which could then only be open for burials. The regulation does not apply to other cemeteries, which can stay open. The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) Regulations 2020 came in to force on the 26 March and apply to any person who is responsible for a crematorium or burial ground including local authorities and private providers.” As such we have now closed our cemeteries at Hannah Park, Manton and Retford.
